High Voltage Lineman Scholarship

Each year, Ozarks Electric Cooperative awards one scholarship to the Arkansas State University at Newport High Voltage Lineman certification program. This scholarship is open to any graduating high school senior or recent high school graduate, up to two years post-graduation, who attends or has graduated from a high school in the Ozarks Electric service territory.

The value of this scholarship is over $8,000 and the training is for one calendar year. The High Voltage Lineman certification is equivalent to 42 college credits and provides complete training for a career as an electrical line worker. The scholarship pays for the books, tuition, equipment and fees for the student’s training. The recipient will be responsible for room and board.
