Pink for a Purpose

Throughout October, Ozarks Electric Cooperative proudly joined the nationwide effort to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. From our lineworkers in the field to our employees in the office, teams across the cooperative came together to show their support and a splash of pink.

Lineworkers swapped their traditional hard hats for bright pink ones on job sites, while office staff donned pink Ozarks Electric shirts designed in-house. The color may have been different, but the mission remained the same: service, safety, and community.

While our lineworkers were installing a new streetlight, a member noticed their pink hard hats and shared her story with the crew. She was a breast cancer survivor, and she thanked them for recognizing a cause that had deeply touched her life.

They were so professional, courteous, kind, and worked well together as a great team,” she said. “It is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and they wore pink hard hats to show their support, as I am a survivor. Thank you, kind gentlemen, for sharing a photo with me. Fantastic job.
